Comment Challenge

Today we had a very special link to our blog. A teacher in Florida USA whose blog is called the One Room Schoolhouse is participating in an online activity called a Comment Challenge has asked her students to use our blog (including Speeches) to learn about blogging and comment on.
I don’t know if we’re up to the comment challenge but have a look at her blog and see if you think we can learn anything and if you see something interesting post a comment.

Hello all,
My name is Susan Berry, the teacher of the class whose blog is called The One Room Schoolhouse. We are actually from Florida in the United States.
I showed my students your blog the other day and asked them to take a look at some of your posts in particular. We are very, very new to blogging. In fact, blogging is more or less discouraged in our school district because it is seen as being “unsafe” or that it introduces viruses/spam/etc. into the system. We are trying very hard to model correct behavior and educational uses of blogs. It seems that other countries are much freer and experienced in their use of blogs in the educational setting. How wonderful! Any suggestions you can offer to us in how to break the barriers or tips on managing/using blogs in the classroom would be greatly appreciated!
Your class has a very interesting and informative blog. It looks as though you are involved in many exciting projects! Please feel free to write comments to us.
