More kids are being suspended at Schools.
More and more kids are being suspended from schools each year. The Department of Education has said that 1682 kids are being suspended from school each week.
School Principals say that kids as young as 5 have been suspended for a long or short time for either bullying, fighting, threatening or just bad behaviour.
Schools also think they need counsellors but sadly there is not many of them. The Department is educating the teachers to defend themselves and teaching them how to handle badly behaved kids.

Little Men Shine on Field By Brad Forrest
The Leader article, in the sports section was about the Sharks vs Dragons game on Monday 4th August at Toyota Stadium in front of a crowd of 18,000 people.
The Sharks were down 12-0 but came back on the attack with Covell scoring a try with six minutes left in the game; that left the score 12-6 Dragons way. Kimmorley kicked the ball in play it landed on the try line and the “Little Half” was able to score, leaving the score 12-12 just before the full-time hooter. In the final two minutes De Gois found a space and gained forty metres allowing Kimmorley an easy field goal right on full-time.
This report was written to enable the reader to find out the result of the game and all the exciting highlights if they didn’t see or hear about the game.
The report was factual an enabled the reader to “see” what was happening in the game.
The issue of the two local teams fighting it out has fascinated readers since the N.R.L. competition started but the report was recent because the game was only played last Monday.

They don’t need to wear less.

‘Women’s Pay Lags’
On Sunday 24th August 2008, a new report in the Sunday Telegraph reveals that Australian women are paid less earnings compared to men. They are earning an average of 16% less than men. The Minister for the Status of Women, Tanya Plibersek said she was determined to reduce the pay gap. From the time of graduation to retirement, women’s wages are less than men’s on average.
The report was important because people should be able to know that women are paid less than men. This isn’t fair and it should be changed. I think the article will help to make the public aware of the unfairness of women’s wages.
The article should have been at the top of page because it is important for the public to know and some people might have missed it because it wasn’t big enough.
This has been an ongoing problem for women all over the world and is about women’s rights.
