Things we learnt from the WillowWeb podcast:

Brain has sound memories

Dolphins can hear better than other animal

Sound can travel through walls

We hear because of sound waves made by vibrations

The shape of our ears help us hear sounds

If sound bounces off a wall it’s an echo

Kids can hear better than adults

Part of our 5 senses

Babies can hear before they are born

Quick vibration make a high pitch sound and slow vibrations make a low sound.

Things we found interesting about the way the podcast was made:

Some people liked the jokes some thought they weren’t really funny

Lots of interesting infromation

Different music

Well set out with sements

They had a quiz, it was a little bit too easy

Year 3

They said a lot of things that people might not know

Took turns

We thought it could go for a bit longer.

All the different sounds there are

What we would do:

Say information about sounds that they might not know

Make it stand out

Make some quizes to test other people on their knowledge about sounds

Show pictures to go with the topic

Take turns

Sounds we heard:

Bowling balls knocking the pins

Dogs barking

Tower bells were ringing

Water bubbles

Rain pouring

Race cars

Cows mooing

Sheeps
